I’m sorry!
Wow! I cannot believe how long I’ve been away from my blog. I do have a valid excuse though, I am in Nigeria and the internet access over here is not very…well… accessible. I had to drag my sister away from her slightly defective laptop for a few minutes just to let everyone know that I am still here and wistfully hoping to blog every single day.
Anyway, I am going to make the most of my limited time in the online world and leave a few lines of poetry at your disposal. However, before I do that, I just want you to know that a few rather interesting events have occurred in the past few weeks and whenever I find the time to do so, I will upload a few pictures of my time at home.
Now for the poem:
Expensive
And its all too costly, the price we have to pay
just when we obtained our liberty, we now throw it away
Women, Girls, why are we so blind?
why have we decided to leave the truth behind?
To pursue a deceptive future that will only cause us pain,
tell me women, what is there to gain?
What is the pleasure in melting your skin to reveal a lighter colour?
what happened to the pride of a woman being her honour?
